Forum > Borrower Questions > Credit risk payment reversal to borrower
Hello there,am Gedion kiprotich
Zidisha foever,i believe it,
I request a bit explanation about credit risk payment, somewhere in the forum i read that if you make a successful loan repayment, your will have your credit risk payment paid back to you,i don't know, may you just give a tought about it,and duration it takes to be paid back?,could it be a day after payment, two or so?,thank you.
You can find all the info in the Borrowers FAQ.
I don’t know the exact duration. I think it has to be approved by a staff member and this takes about 4 days and then it will be transferred.
To receive a refund of your credit risk fee, you need to request it after repaying a loan and before creating a new one.
To request it, send us a support ticket with a clearly readable photo of your ID card and a recognisable picture of you holding the still readable ID card.
If those photos are approved when we're answering your support ticket, your refund will be entered into the system for someone on the appropriate Payment Team to process.
Most support tickets are answered within 5 days, and most disbursements are received within a week.
The whole process shouldn't take 12 days (at least if the photos are approved the first time) but we would recommend allowing that amount of time, and hopefully you would usually receive it within about a week.
Also, it does affect your credit limit if you request such a refund.
Thank you soo much,i think i got the right people to associate with in the entire world,am soo greatful.
Also, Gideon, I would add that it's not just the photos
that have to be approved, but also borrowers need to
make sure to attach the correct Id. Card (the one that
bears the same Id. Number on it that matches the
Id. Number entered onto the account when the
borrower joined). That will save time.
Thank you laurie,am soo determine to stick to rules and guidance that you give, with you ,no one can ever mess me up coz i will be knowing where am goin.thank you
Thank you for your kind words, Gideon.
I and *everyone else* here do try to give you accurate information. And whenever we discover we've made an error or inadvertently have given you outdated information (policies change a lot!), we come back and provide a correction / update. ;-)
Thanks Laurie, we do appreciate your efforts in making sure we are informed and our questions answered. After I service a loan that had an MLF, then I get to service another one with a Credit Risk Payment. If I decide not to ask for Credit Risk Refund and decide to apply for another loan, will the two amounts help in securing a larger credit limit or it does not affect the limit. Thanks
