Please lenders, I have applied for a new loan, and it has shown on my dashboard that, the funding that is the loan application has put on pending and which it is reviewing by lenders, and when it is done then it will be post for funding again. Please lenders I have not never seen this thing before, and I don't understand it please I need explanation. Thanks.

Could you not count the days the loan is pending review,you start counting on the day it is approved such that loans don't expire while under the review or to have very limited time for funding.
Also kindly check my loan,I posted on Friday but still under review
Hi Dave are these changes not inconveniencing,coz like my loan had been published for 7days and now its back to review by Zidisha staff which means if approved it will take another more days after being published again for funding
Actually some volunteers never come online. So we have to wait for them to be online to approve our loans doesn't make sense at all
I am also facing the same challenge.
The loans need to be approved by volunteers like me - not Volunteer Mentors.
I think the amount of time this might take, in relation to the workload and number of volunteers we've got, is a concern and I've raised this point with Julia. I'll let you know when I've heard back.

Abubakari, it's not VMs that will be approving the loans, it's volunteer staff.
Hello Abubakari Razaq, this manual review will be done by Zidisha Volunteers, not the VM. Zidisha Volunteer have access to check borrower account, payment, support ticket etc. You can say that zidisha Volunteer as zidisha staff.

They are zidisha staff and there are more who hasn't appearing on that page like Wee Beng, Breden Mc Mullen; Dave it self hasn't appearing on that page (I think, CMIIW). Sometimes Zidisha volunteer are the lenders, like Laurie who is doing offline work but sometimes appearing on borrower discussion page. There are 35 zidisha volunteer now, I knew this from the screenshot of zidisha eamil reply to someone on facebook grup.
If you find some VM ask its assigned member to pay for good review, please report it to Zidisha. Make support ticket and detail information about it; attach the proof, always find all the fact first ok. Lets Zidisha staff and Volunteer investigate this matter.
this policy is really not really helping. so now i have to wait till a volunteer will take a look at my projects. this means its now really through prayers by which you can get zidisha loan. please change this policy. you can even ask for additional information from us rather than this
I find this a good policy. As a lender I like to help people with good intentions. I want them to be able to get a better life. I only give a loan if I expect that a borrower is able to pay that loan. Sometimes I see someone asking for a very big loan without any proof that they are able to pay it back. I don’t support those loans because I don’t want those people to get any trouble.
But there are also people with bad intentions. They only want to get the money with fake ID’s and they are not planning to pay it back.
And if a loan isn’t repaid then the Member Loan Fund comes into action. But there are also conditions for that situation, so there is no guarantee. goyimei.info/faq#faq-8

But there is also no guarantee because there has to be enough money.
I find this a good policy because a smaller percentage of the loans will be “bad” loans. So there is more money for “good” loans and the chance that those loans are repaid is also bigger. This also means that a bigger part of the Member Loan Fund can be used by borrowers.
So it’s a win win situation for the lenders and for the borrowers with good intentions. The only downside is that it takes a little bit of extra time to get the loan request approved. And because it’s something new it might take some extra time.
Hi Joost thank you for your input about this changes. Would you considering to be zidisha volunteer ? I Saw that you more active in this forum and on borrower discussion page whose loan you are supported. Other lender I saw who active are Mary,Margaret and the others more active in their lending community. This is my selfish wish, as you know that with this new changes; manual review from Zidisha Volunteer; zidisha will need more help to sort this. There still about 300 project that show on project page, so there are more than 700 project if we count from the sum of loan application before. I saw that zidisha posting on their official facebook page asking lenders to be Volunteer too. I already post on my discussion page, hoping from my lenders will be kinds and spare their time to help zidisha this time around, atleast until this technicall issue resolved and pending review lessen. Joost, Thanks a lot for considering my selfish wish. I hope Julia and the others who have authority to answer lenders email will help you soon. I hope you will be more patience Joost, eventhough Julia already post on the old forum thread about support ticket is the only way for borrower communicating with Zidisha about their account; Many still send email to [email protected] explaining their account situation and hoping to get their problem resolved soon. I knew this from facebook grup. Even when someone remind them to make support ticket, they will send email too. Desperade call need desperade measure.
Lets hope Dave will read this soon so he will give notice to Julia and the other who have the authority about your email.

Hello to all our family Zidisha. Who does not protect his interests?
How can I post a loan for a 11 days, only to wake up the next day to see on my dashboard that my loan is pending review meanwhile all these 11 days they could not do review on my loan.
Now I am left with a day for my loan to expire.

Nathaniel, I've just found your loan application and done the necessary checks and approved it, so it's now displaying in the Browse Projects area. I've done that now because it's only got one day remaining.

Dear Dave,Thank you very much for your great support. I have an issue and l need help. Some of us here in Ghana don't have national I'd card yet.They promised to issue us one but it is not ready and we don't know when we are going to have one. So we use either voters id card,or national health insurance card as a form of identification card.I have uploaded my national health insurance card and still l have a message on my deshboad telling me to upload a new one.what to know if Zidisha want to deprive me from access my financial need.Thank you. Please look into my case for me.
