All l want to ask is that ; Can l Change my number so that l can repay my loans?
Or l can't make payments again!

Yes, you can change your phone number. Please make technical ticket to ask Zidisha staff to update your phone number and attach your readable ID there.
Please note that support ticket usually answered within 3-5 business days US time, so please wait their reply. I'll suggest you to erased your number above in this forum and please write on your discussion page to inform your lenders about your trouble/ delay in your payment because of this situation. Thanks.

Some sad news, received on May 19, 2018:
      goyimei.info/loan/office...

"Kingford Kesheni, former VM for this borrower
(prior to VM Eneya Nalungwe), has just notified us today
of the sad news that Office Simfukwe has passed away.

We have closed his account, as it is Zidisha's policy
not to hold the family liable for any of the borrower's
      outstanding balance.

Our deepest condolences to Mrs. Simfukwe,
as well as to their children and grandchildren."

Hmm, I obviously missed an announcement, Fitri, about a recent change to the turnaround time for support tickets. I see that you've mentioned that support tickets now are allowed to go three (3) business days without a reply, and that it now even can take up to five (5) business days.

Previously, the expected turnaround time, as you know, was 1 to 3 business days.

This change must have been implemented because of the larger number of borrowers, as well as having a smaller staff now than we used to have.

      That makes sense!!

Thanks to borrowers for their patience. :)

This message always appear after we sent a ticket.
" Support ticket usually answered within 3-5 days, your patient highly appreciated"
Unfortunately, little will see the message ( I think, that's not nice sentence to read. ;-)) and this message have been like that since last year. I don't know does it have anything to do with short staff at the moment. Usually my ticket got answered before the maximum time.
Btw, how much are the staff now? Below 20?
Jamal isn't on team page now, Krishna just moved to alumni page today and there is new accountant, Blake.

Good to know about that change, which apparently began with the implementation of the support-ticket system. I didn't see an announcement about that change and didn't know about it yet. (When we access the support-ticket system from the lender & Staff sides, we don't see all of what you see from the borrower side.) Thanks again for the info.

No, the Staff size still is about the same as it has been for almost about the past year (around 25). Prior to then, there was more than double that number of volunteers (which includes mostly Country Liaisons, plus Accountants, plus Entrepreneurs' Story Writers for Zidisha's blog), who agree to work a minimum of ten hours per week.

As you probably remember, not every Country Liaison, Accountant, or Entrepreneurs' Story Writer chooses always to be listed on the "Team" page, or on the "Alumni" page.

There also are "Virtual Volunteers"... well, we all are that, too, but that's the title given to those who do *only* loan-quality-profile reviewing (rotating and/or cropping the photo that appears at the top of each borrower's profile page, correcting each borrower's loan title, writing to borrowers to suggest improvements to their loan-profile descriptions) and/or answering posts in the Forum) who agree to work a minimum of two hours per week. (Only the Director currently can see the list of those individuals, so I don't know how many V.V.s there are, or who is working in solely that capacity unless--[like Joost]--they show up to help in the Forum.)

I don't know who is Jamal? I don't recall anyone on the Staff by that name. Are you sure there was an entry on the "Team" page for a "Jamal"? Anyway, yes, I found out last night that Krishna worked only for a very, very short time, so I moved his photo & mini-bio over to the "Alumni" page. And, also yes, Blake just recently joined Mai's accounting team. :)

Yes, I still remember your explanation on Christian page about it, that not all volunteer put their profile on "team page", and it's look like there is waiting time before they able to put their profile on team page. Yours and Dave aren't there (and yes, both of you have your own reason why not put your profile there as your explanation before)

I'm pretty sure there were Jamal there before for about 3-2 week. He was placed after Dustin. Where is Dustin anyway? Haven't seen him around in forum. The more the merrier. Hehehe.

Thanks for the information about the staff. :-)

I think none of us has ever even seen a photo of Dave yet. ;) He would need to post a photo of himself to be listed there. I opted to be listed there, for a little while, during some of the time that I had a photo of myself posted, and I might decide to post one again sometime. I haven't decided yet.

Dave and I are not the only ones who are not currently listed there, per our choice. As mentioned previously, there still currently are around 25 active volunteer Staff members, but currently only 17 choose to be listed on the "Team" page. ;-)

There's no waiting period. Everyone just decides if and when they want to be listed there, that's all. It's totally optional.

Dustin is busy working behind the scenes. He recently agreed to lead the Kenya Payment Team, since Yujie is not currently available to do that. Yujie is still here, just doesn't have as much time for Zidisha for the moment. (You may have noticed the recent edits to their titles on the "Team" page?) Who knows, maybe Dustin will decide to post in the Forum sometimes. :)

Oh, that seems to explain it, about Jamal. Dustin joined while I was away for a few weeks. So, if Jamal was listed after Dustin, that probably means he joined after Dustin joined.

Not everyone is listed there in the order they joined the Staff, though. In fact, most are not. People are listed in the order they first got added to that screen after the "Team" screen was reprogrammed (almost a year ago, I think), but lately you can be fairly sure that if someone new appears at the end there, it's because they just recently joined the Staff - although the newer listings still may not be in the exact order that the individuals joined; it just depends on when they decide to be listed on that screen for the first time.

I joined before Aliz, but I didn't choose to be on that screen until a while after that page was reprogrammed, so my photo appeared between Jessica's and Prayush's, and it still would appear in that spot anytime I may decide to be added back onto that screen. Another example is that Paige joined before I did, but she also chose to be listed later and, therefore, her photo appears between Mai and Jessica.

The position of photos on the "Alumni" page also corresponds to the order in which the individuals were added to the "Team" page, not necessarily the order in which they had joined the Staff.

Anyway, apparently like Krishna, Jamal didn't stay very long. Maybe something else came up and he wasn't able to fulfill the time commitment, after all.

Now, I have to go... I wasn't going to be here on Monday...

See you again on the weekend. :)

UPDATE: I noticed last night that Jamal has reappeared, behind the scenes, but not yet on the "Team" page. He may be revising his mini-bio, so maybe you'll see his photo reappear there, later on. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that now I know who he is, and that he's here! :-)

Thanks very much Michael that you still believe in zidisha and willing to pay upon your phone lost. That's a good step, hopefully it will be successful and wishing you well in your education too.
      Thanks!!!
