Forum > Open Forum > Zidisha Team Spotlight: Betsy Ramser Jaime, ....
I just finished reading Zidisha: P2P Microfinance about Betsty Ramser Jaime and I am more than happy, and want to say thank you to Team Zidisha for your generosity, kindness and desire to support the have not and their dependents have a breakthrough in their life.
What interest me most and made me feel so humble is the last paragraph which says "I hope that borrowers know how inspired we are by their stories and perseverance. Our borrowers are always quick to thank the lenders and volunteers and show their appreciation. I know that if I’m having a bad day, one of my favorite things to do is to read through the kind comments or notes that I’ve received from borrowers. Zidisha is such a supportive community and I’m always learning lessons from the borrowers that I can take and apply in my own life".
God bless you all for the wonderful things you are doing in the lives of many people.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Christian! We're so proud of you and the work you're doing!
Perfect excerpt!! long live Zidisha long live the good hearts out there.
Yes, thank you, Christian for those kind words. I'm sure that everyone working here who reads what you wrote appreciates the sentiment very much. And I second the rest of what Betsy said above, too. :)
Betsy, we all are really proud of the work you're doing, as well. :))
It's true what Julia mentioned in your piece, you *do* make us feel as though we've "met" the student or the entrepreneur whose story you've written about in the blog. I'm sure your pieces encourage others to join and lend, and to "converse" with borrowers on their "Discussion" screens. Thank you for what you do, too! :)
you know, at first I always thought that Betsy has interviewed the borrower before she post it in blog, I guess I'm wrong. Her writing skill is amazing how she describe the borrowers story on the blog. Thank you for sharing wonderful story Betsy.

I think she does also interview borrowers, Fitri.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Betsy. ;)
Yes Laurie, you are correct. I just recently read the new one, the one cristian told about.
It's my own conclusion from Mary thread that she share few days ago that she just find out that she was featured on the blog. And from some of the post on the blog before.
Yes! You are correct, Laurie. Some interviews are done through email interviews with the borrowers and others are done via their profiles. I wish I could do more of them directly though email but I only hear back from less than 10% of the borrowers I contact, so I'm able to fill in with content directly from their profiles.
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments, Fitri, I really appreciate it!
Betsy, how about doing one on Fitri? :-)
oh no, please, that's not good Idea I think. my business Just so so. I'm more focuss with work at the moment.
It's great to part of this "great family" I am learning so much and I see a brighter future for myself and many other colleagues in the less developed countries rising higher with this support from Zidisha. I am delighted and grateful to be accepted here into Zidisha.
Betsy is a blessing to Zidisha, she featured my story one day on her blogs and it was so nice and sweet that I could hardly believe am reading something about myself!!!!
Here is my story
800 chickens! Wow. That's amazing, John. They must keep you very busy.
Oh yes, they do.....I have now diversified and am supplying to hotels, schools, institutions and this has been a better and bigger challenge. The advantage is that am now getting more $$$$$$. That is why am fund-raising at the moment to buy a vehicle for this work.
Well said Hagan there are so many efforts from willing hearts that make it work to Betsy and the others good work guys.
